Michael Pickett - President and Founder
Michael Pickett is the Founder and President of Fordham Law's Real Estate Society.
Michael has a love for all things real estate. His family has been involved in developing, managing, financing, and building real estate for over 100 years. Michael owned and operated a real estate brokerage firm dealing in residential, commercial, and industrial purchases and leases in the Phoenix area, while building, converting, flipping, and financing projects on his own. He plans to integrate his experience in developing real estate, being a landlord, and the legal expertise gained at Fordham University School of Law to further propel him in the world of real estate.
Michael holds a BA in Business Law from Arizona State University and is a JD/MBA Candidate at Fordham University School of Law.
Stephen Cugliari - Vice President
Stephen Cugliari serves as Vice President of Fordham Law's Real Estate Society.
Stephen first became interested in real estate while taking a real estate investment elective as an undergraduate. Since then, he has interned at Zimmet Law Group where he worked alongside attorneys in their real estate department. He hopes to start his own real estate investment firm in the future.
Stephen holds a BS in Finance from Bentley University and is a JD Candidate at Fordham University School of Law.
Adam Weinberg - Vice President
Adam Weinberg serves as Vice President of Fordham Law's Real Estate Society.
Adam has grown up around the real estate industry, gaining exposure to his family's real estate development and management business from a young age, including the development of commercial and residential projects spanning the tri-state area.
Adam holds a BA in Communications from the University of Michigan and is a JD Candidate at Fordham University School of Law.
Alex Lipton - Treasurer
Alex Lipton serves as the Treasurer of Fordham Law's Real Estate Society. She handles the society's finances and budgetary need as well as organizes different on campus events.
Alex is currently a law clerk at Phillips Nizer LLP in their Real Estate Department. There, her work includes advising and assisting clients in the acquisition and sale of residential and other real estate properties and representation of lenders and borrowers in real estate financing transactions. Previously, she interned in Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft's Financial Services Department as well as at the New Jersey Superior Court.
Alex holds a BA in Economics and Political Science from Sarah Lawrence College and is a JD Candidate at Fordham University School of Law.
Matthew Ioannou - Representative
Matthew Ioannou is a representative of Fordham Law’s Real Estate Society. He assists in sourcing market trends within the real estate asset class and posts regularly to the societies blog.
Prior to joining Fordham’s Real Estate Society, he gained experience in real estate working for Shelter Rock Capital Advisors, a boutique private equity advisory firm which is designed to meet the needs of both established and emerging managers worldwide. At Shelter Rock, Matthew created investor presentations and offering summaries for two joint-venture opportunities and assisted senior advisors providing institutional capital raising and advisory services for funds, co-investments, recapitalizations, separate accounts and direct investments.
Matthew holds a BA in History from Wake Forest University and is a JD Candidate at Fordham University School of Law.
Dana Kahati - Representative
Dana Kahati is a representative of Fordham Law's Real Estate Society.
Prior to attending law school, Dana worked at the New York Supreme Court, Civil Branch, where she acted as a mediation intern on cases involving family law and commercial matters. This experience helped solidify her interest in pursuing a law degree. Her interest in real estate stems from her family background, as her father is a real estate developer for residential properties concentrated in the Brooklyn area.
Dana holds a BA from the University of Maryland, College Park, and is a JD Candidate at Fordham University School of Law.
